If it turns out that they fall outside 80/20, you could still include them using the '''url''' property and a URL like http://dx.doi.org/10.1000/182, or it becomes approved as a URI/URN scheme <tt>doi:10.1000/182</tt> or <tt>urn:doi:10.1000/182</tt>. Support DOI

Support associating Digitial Object Identifier (DOI) references (used by Nature for example) with citations.
